Power System Engineer

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Avanced Power System Modeling and Simulation: Lead the modeling and simulation efforts for large, complex power systems using advanced simulation tools (e.g., PSS/E, DIgSILENT, ETAP, MATLAB, CYME). Conduct and oversee detailed dynamic system analysis, including transient stability, voltage stability, and interconnection studies. Manage and optimize models for power grid expansion or upgrades. Power Grid Analysis and Strategy: Oversee and direct grid reliability analysis for large-scale transmission and distribution systems. Lead risk assessment efforts, fault studies, and contingency planning to ensure system resilience and security. Define and implement optimization strategies for grid performance, including enhancing integration with renewable energy and smart grid technologies. System Design, Optimization, and Innovation: Lead the design and implementation of innovative power system solutions, ensuring their feasibility, scalability, and cost-effectiveness. Develop strategies for improving system efficiency, reliability, and sustainability, particularly in integrating renewable energy and advanced energy storage systems. Collaborate with senior leadership and clients on major system upgrades, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and industry trends.

Experience of Power System Studies like load flow, short circuit, transient stability studies

Tools known: digsilent, PowerFactory, ETAP, PSSE, PSCAD, CYME, SKM

Grid integration, Grid compliance as well

Candidates with working experience on UK Market will be preferable.

Shift : UK Shift ( 11 AM to 8.30PM)
