Job Description

Job Title:

  • Develop simulation models for analog, digital, and power circuits using MATLAB/Simulink, PSIM, and LTspice.
  • Simulate power electronic converters, control loops, and associated devices to predict steady-state and dynamic performance.
  • Evaluate circuit behavior under varying conditions, including voltage/current waveforms, switching transients, losses, efficiency, and thermal performance.
  • Perform magnetic simulations of inductors and transformers to assess flux, core loss, and EMI impact.
  • Include EMI/EMC considerations in simulations to predict and minimize noise or interference issues.
  • Analyze results and recommend design improvements before hardware implementation.
  • Prepare detailed simulation reports, plots, and comparative analysis to support design decisions.
  • Build and maintain a library of reusable models for analog, digital, and power devices.
  • Ensure all simulation activities are well-documented and organized for future reference.
  • Stay updated with simulation techniques and tools to improve model accuracy and efficiency.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • B.E./B.Tech./M.E./M.Tech. in Electrical or Electronics Engineering (Power Electronics preferred).
  • 3 5 years of experience in simulation of power, analog, and digital circuits.
  • Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink, PSIM, and LTspice.
  • Strong foundation in power electronics, including converter topologies and control circuits.
  • Ability to simulate power devices such as inductors, transformers, IGBTs, MOSFETs, and diodes.
  • Knowledge of EMI/EMC standards and ability to include compliance checks in simulations.
  • Experience in magnetic and thermal simulations to support design optimization.
  • Skills in steady-state, transient, and control loop simulations.
  • Good documentation skills for simulation activities, reports, and model libraries.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Attributes:

  • Experience in UPS, inverter, or renewable energy system simulations.
  • Familiarity with control strategies (voltage/current-mode, PWM, feedback loops).
  • Ability to correlate simulation results with hardware performance for verification.
  • Interest in developing reusable simulation libraries for analog, digital, and power devices.

Performance Indicators:

  • Accurate simulation models predicting circuit behavior reliably.
  • Timely delivery of simulation insights and reports supporting design decisions.
  • Identification of design improvements via simulation studies.
  • Development of validated, reusable models for future projects.
  • Consideration of EMI/EMC, magnetic, and thermal effects in simulations.
  • Proper and thorough documentation of simulation activities and results.
