Overview

Rialtes is seeking a Power BI Support Analyst to provide technical support, maintain platform stability, and assist in developing high-quality dashboards and data models. Role requires strong troubleshooting skills, DAX expertise, and experience integrating with enterprise data sources such as SAP BW and SQL Server.

Key Responsibilities

Primary: Support Activities

• Provide technical assistance to end users and resolve issues with datasets, reports, dashboards, and scheduled refresh failures.
• Monitor overall Power BI service performance and optimize existing dashboards for load times, data accuracy, and usability.
• Manage security roles, row-level security (RLS), permissions, and workspace configurations in alignment with governance standards.
• Troubleshoot gateway connectivity, refresh bottlenecks, and performance issues across Power BI Service and Desktop.
• Work with Data Engineering and IT teams to address platform-wide incidents and escalate issues as necessary.

Secondary: Development Activities

• Design and develop interactive, user-friendly Power BI dashboards and reports based on business requirements.
• Build and maintain efficient data models using DAX, Power Query (M), and best practices for star schemas and data optimization.
• Integrate Power BI with multiple enterprise data sources including SAP BW, SQL Server, Azure sources, and APIs.
• Participate in testing, version control, deployment, and documentation of dashboards and data models.
• Contribute to standard operating procedures, runbooks, and knowledge-base articles.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience supporting or developing Power BI solutions.
• Strong knowledge of Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, DAX, and Power Query.
• Experience troubleshooting refresh failures, performance issues, and security configuration.
• Familiarity with SAP BW extractors, BEx queries, or Analysis for Office (nice to have).
• Solid understanding of SQL and working with relational/analytical data models.
• Ability to work in fast-paced, cross-functional environments.

Nice-to-Have

• Microsoft Power BI Certification (PL-300 or similar).
• Exposure to Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Dataflows, or enterprise BI governance frameworks.
• Experience with CI/CD for BI assets (Git, DevOps pipelines).
