Job Overview

On Premises PostgreSQL

PostgreSQL installation, configuration & upgrades

Performance tuning & query optimization

Backup & recovery strategies (pg_dump, PITR, etc.)

Replication setup & monitoring (Streaming, Logical)

Troubleshooting DB issues & logs

User management & access control

Routine maintenance (VACUUM, REINDEX, etc.)

Monitoring tools (pg_stat_statements, pgBadger)

Good to have skills

Scripting (Shell, Python) for automation

Knowledge of other DBs (MSSQL, Oracle)

Familiarity with DevOps tools (Ansible, Terraform)

Basic understanding of HA & DR setups

Mandatory Skills
