Job Description

Summary:

We seek an outstanding researcher to join our R&D team at Bangalore to push the frontier of industrial automation and robotics. You will be working in a dedicated team developing actuation systems, novel exteroception approaches and software design tools for the upcoming field of Soft Robotics. You must demonstrate an ability to work independently and innovatively.

We require a strong mechanical engineering background and experience in CNC manufacturing.

Responsibilities:

Design and validate actuation systems and lab test setups.
Perform CAM and fabrication of custom in-house parts.
Develop software tools for modelling and benchmarking complex structural systems.
Publish manuscripts in related journals.

Requirements:

BTech/MTech in Mechanical Engineering or nearby fields and a PhD on a related topic.
At least 1 year of work on computational modelling of structural mechanics.
Experience operating CNC milling machines and general lab-scale workshop tools.

Skills:

Understanding of robotics and mechatronics concepts and tools.
CAD, CAM and GD&T with focus on subtractive machining.
C/C++, CUDA and MATLAB fluency.
Good grasp on structural FEA fundamentals.
Rapid prototyping via additive manufacturing.
Familiarity with Linux environments
