IITB has developed a GIS-based scientific planning framework as part of the Project on Climate Resilient Agriculture (PoCRA) - Phase 1, which was implemented in around 6000 villages in the 15 districts of Marathwada and Vidarbha. The above IITB-PoCRA water budget framework can be extended to all the villages at the district level, even to non-PoCRA villages. The related planning tools and IT products (such as dashboards, mobile apps etc.) can be made available to district planners (such as District Planning office, District Superintendent Agriculture Office, Taluka Agriculture Office, Agriculture Assistants etc.) on a continuous basis for better and more responsive climate resilient agricultural planning in the district. In this context, IITB signed MoU with the Dharashiv District Collector office for the upcoming agricultural year (i.e. June 2025 to May 2026).
