# Position: Manager - Mechanical Design Engineering PP. # Work Location: Shirwal, Pune. # Job Description: Candidate must have 10+ years of work experience, in end to end design process / cycle of packaging machines, conveyers and automation projects. # Roles & Responsibilities: Able to lead a team of mechanical design engineers working on multiple projects. Resolve operational problems related to projects and minimize delays or unexpected cost increases. Ensure all relevant safety objectives and legal requirements are observed for all work completed. Create accurate Bills of Material documentation on PLM & ERP system. Selection of appropriate material and processes for designed parts. Identification and selection of technology and off the shelf solutions that can be implemented to achieve the project goals. Mechanical design of customized solutions including; motor sizing, pneumatic/electro pneumatic and electrical routing. Provide hands on assembly assistance and precise measurement techniques in order to collect data and identify root causes of machine bring-up issues. Knowledge & experience of using DFA, DFM & DFMEA tools. Involvement in new component development at vendor end, as & when required.
