Polymer Recycling & Strategic Collaborations

We are seeking an accomplished professional to lead JCG’s Polymer Recycling & Strategic Collaboration initiatives. The role demands a strong technical foundation in polymer processing and recycling, coupled with strategic insight into government programs, sustainability grants, and industrial partnerships.

The candidate will play a pivotal role in driving JCG’s next phase of growth in polymer circular economy, technology innovation, and greenfield expansion.

Key Responsibilities

Lead polymer recycling process development — from HDPE/PP regrind processing to pyrolysis oil conversion.

Identify, evaluate, and execute collaborations with R&D institutions (CIPET, CSIR, TERI, DST, etc.) and industry bodies (CII, CMMAI).

Develop and execute greenfield polymer recycling and pyro-oil projects, including feasibility, plant setup, and commissioning.

Liaise with government departments to identify and secure grants, subsidies, and incentives under Plastic Parks, DST Waste Management, and MSME innovation programs.

Support product innovation — development of new polymer compounds, upcycled materials, and advanced recycled resin grades.

Build partnerships with EPR stakeholders, brand owners, and circular-economy alliances.

Guide compliance with environmental and safety standards for recycling and pyrolysis operations.

Mentor technical and operations teams on advanced recycling technologies and process optimisation.

Represent JCG at national and international conferences, industry forums, and collaborative research platforms. 

Qualifications & Experience

B.Tech / M.Tech / Ph.D. in Polymer Engineering / Chemical Engineering / Environmental Engineering or related fields.

15+ years of experience in polymer recycling, plastic waste management, or petrochemical process industries.

Proven track record in setting up or managing recycling or pyrolysis plants and developing new polymer products.

Experience working with government agencies, R&D institutes, and grant applications preferred.

Strong understanding of circular economy, sustainability frameworks, and EPR mechanisms.

Excellent leadership, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Willingness to travel across India for site development and institutional collaboration.
