About the Role


PLM Windchill Administrator / Specialist

This position offers the opportunity to work across core Windchill administration responsibilities while also contributing to specialized, well-defined tasks that support the overall PLM landscape.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Perform Windchill base and user administration, including account setup, access rights, and daily system management.
  • Manage operations and monitoring of Windchill environments to ensure system performance and reliability.
  • Configure, operate, and monitor CAD & non-CAD workers (Creo, BricsCad, Office Workers).
  • Support Windchill interface landscape operations and troubleshooting.
  • Execute system setup, environment cloning, preparation, and rehosting (creation of development and non-productive environments using KB methodology).
  • Manage Solr indexing operations, including configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and bulk reindexing.
  • Administer file servers and vaults for secure and efficient data storage.
  • Perform queue management to optimize system efficiency.
  • Contribute to solution architecture tasks (~50% of the role) within PLM infrastructure for specialized areas.
  • Provide focused expertise in modules/processes such as database basics, scripting, and targeted troubleshooting.
  • Adapt to evolving requirements and take ownership of specialized tasks as needed.


Qualifications & Skills:


  • Proven experience in PLM Windchill administration and support.
  • Strong knowledge of system setup, configuration, monitoring, and rehosting.
  • Hands-on experience with CAD/Non-CAD worker configuration and support.
  • Familiarity with databases, scripting, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Solr indexing, file server/vault administration, and queue management.
  • Ability to work independently on well-defined specialized tasks while supporting broader administration responsibilities.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Open-mindedness and adaptability to embrace new tasks and technologies.
