PLC Engineer

To ensure smooth operation, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of PLC--based assembly machines by maintaining control systems, improving cycle time, Reducing downtime, and supporting production requirements

1. Technical Skills

Proficiency in PLC programming (Messung PLC 5K,2K series, Mitsubishi/Allen-Bradley)

Ability to troubleshoot PLC logic, I/O faults, interlocks, and sequence failures Experience in HMI/SCADA programming and screen modifications.

Understanding of servo systems, VFDs, sensors, electrical circuit, digital logicand industrial communication protocols (Profinet, Profibus, Ethernet/IP, Modbus).

Knowledge of 2D marking, Laser marking, Vision system,2D scanner etc.

Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic circuits used in assembly machines.

Ability to interpret electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical drawings.

Knowledge of safety PLCs, safety relays, light curtains, safety interlocks.

Basic knowledge of Industry 4.0, data collection, and dashboard monitoring

2. Assembly Line Specific Skills

Understanding of assembly line processes like pressing, leak testing, tightening (DC torque guns), vision systems.

Fault analysis and restoration during stoppages to reduce downtime

Experience in poka-yoke implementation for assembly operations.

Knowledge of traceability systems, barcode scanners, and auto-save data logs.

Ensure traceability system integration and data logging.

Work on cycle time optimization and process improvements.

3. Maintenance & Support Skills

Preventive and predictive maintenance planning for PLC-based equipment.

Root cause analysis (RCA) for repeated breakdowns.

Ability to update programs safely and maintain version control.

Backup and restoration of PLC, HMI, and drive programs.

4.Soft Skills

Good communication and coordination with production, quality, and maintenance teams

Ability to work under pressure during machine breakdowns.
