Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Plastic Mould Designer based in Ahmedabad. The Plastic Mould Designer will be responsible for designing and developing plastic injection moulds for various applications. Day-to-day tasks include understanding client requirements, conceptualizing mould designs, creating 2D and 3D models, conducting feasibility analyses, and collaborating with the manufacturing team to oversee prototype trials. The role also involves ensuring compliance with quality and technical standards throughout the design and production process.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in design tools such as CAD software, including AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar tools
• Experience in mould design for applications like thin wall packaging, in-mould labelling (IML), medical devices, or custom plastic solutions
• Knowledge of plastic material properties and manufacturing techniques
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams
• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Tool Design, or a related discipline
• Experience or knowledge in the injection moulding process is a plus.
• Prepare BOM and drafting 2D drawings.
