1. Job Summary

The ETP/STP Operator will be responsible for the efficient operation, routine monitoring, and daily maintenance of Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) and Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) systems at our sites located in Ranchi or Tatanagar. The operator must ensure smooth plant performance and compliance with all environmental standards.

2. Key ResponsibilitiesA. Plant Operation

• Operate and manage ETP/STP equipment including pumps, blowers, aerators, dosing systems, clarifiers, filters, and sludge treatment units.
• Perform daily start-up, shutdown, and adjustment of plant machinery.
• Ensure continuous and safe operation of the treatment plant.

B. Monitoring & Documentation

• Monitor daily parameters such as pH, DO, ORP, turbidity, TDS, MLSS, COD, BOD, flow rate, etc.
• Maintain accurate daily operational logs including readings, chemical usage, and equipment status.
• Report deviations, equipment issues, or emergencies to the supervisor immediately.

C. Routine Maintenance

• Conduct basic preventive maintenance and minor repair activities.
• Coordinate with the maintenance team for major repair work.
• Maintain cleanliness of the plant area and housekeeping standards.

D. Chemical Handling

• Handle, prepare, and dose chemicals like coagulants, flocculants, chlorine, alum, etc., as per process requirement.
• Maintain stock records and ensure availability of chemicals at all times.

E. Safety & Compliance

• Ensure treated water quality meets Jharkhand State Pollution Control Board (JSPCB) norms.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and use required PPE.
• Support during audits, inspections, and sampling.

3. Skills & Competencies

• Understanding of ETP/STP processes (MBBR, SBR, MBR, aeration, settling, sludge handling).
• Knowledge of pumps, valves, motors, blowers, and electrical control panels.
• Ability to take samples and conduct basic wastewater testing.
• Strong observation, troubleshooting, and record-keeping skills.
• Ability to work independently and in shifts.

4. Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum Education: ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or relevant field.
• Experience: 1–5 years in ETP/STP/WTP plant operation.
• Experience with MBBR/SBR/UF/RO systems preferred.

5. Additional Requirements

• Willingness to work in Ranchi or Tatanagar as per operational need.
• Comfortable working in shifts.
• Physically fit and responsible.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
