Plant Operation Head ,Rubber Manufacturing

Role & responsibilities

Overall responsibility of complete plant operations:-

Manage production activities including mixing, molding, curing, finishing, and dispatch.
Ensure daily, weekly, and monthly production targets are met. Monitor productivity, rejection, rework, and downtime. Control manufacturing costs and improve plant efficiency.

Production & Planning :-

Coordinate with PPC for production planning and material availability.
Ensure on-time delivery as per customer schedule. Monitor WIP, inventory, and dispatch.

Quality:-

Ensure compliance with ISO / IATF / AS9100 standards as applicable.
Handle customer audits and internal audits. Reduce customer complaints and internal rejection. Ensure proper process control and documentation.

Maintenance:-

Oversee preventive and breakdown maintenance.
Ensure machines such as mixers, presses, extruders, and utilities are running efficiently. Plan machine installation, relocation, and maintenance activities.

Manpower Management

Manage plant manpower including supervisors, operators, and staff.
Ensure discipline, shift planning, and skill development. Coordinate with HR for recruitment and training.

Safety & Statutory Compliance

Ensure compliance with Factory Act, safety, fire, and pollution norms.
Maintain EHS records and statutory documentation. Ensure safe working practices on shop floor.

Cost & Budget Control

Prepare plant budget and monitor expenses.
Control material consumption, power, and overhead costs. Support cost-reduction activities.

Management & Customer Coordination

Coordinate with management on plant performance.
Attend customer meetings and support new product trials. Resolve production and quality issues.

Preferred candidate profile

Good knowledge of rubber processing and compounding.
Experience in handling large manufacturing teams. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Ability to handle audits and customer requirements.
