Plant Manager

Key Responsibilities

A. Operational Management

- Lead daily plant operations including cutting, tempering, lamination, edge processing, IGU, and other value-added processes.
- Ensure optimum utilization of machinery, manpower, and materials. - Maintain strict adherence to production targets and ensure on-time delivery.

B. Production Planning & Control (PPC)

- Develop and implement daily, weekly, and monthly production plans aligned with sales and dispatch schedules.
- Monitor production output against planned targets; initiate corrective actions in case of deviations. - Coordinate with Sales, SCM, and Maintenance for seamless plant functioning. - Maintain accurate production MIS and reports for review.

C. Quality & Compliance

- Drive quality control initiatives to ensure finished goods meet customer and regulatory standards.
- Ensure compliance with ISO, safety, and environmental norms. - Lead root cause analysis and corrective action plans for quality issues.

D. People Management

- Supervise and guide supervisors, engineers, and shop floor teams.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and discipline. - Identify training needs and facilitate employee development programs.

E. Maintenance Coordination

- Coordinate with maintenance team for preventive and breakdown maintenance.
- Ensure minimal downtime and maximize machine availability.

F. Cost Optimization & Efficiency

- Reduce production costs by minimizing wastage, rework, and idle time.
- Implement lean manufacturing and Kaizen initiatives.

Preferred Skills

- Strong understanding of glass processing machinery and operations (e.g., CNC, tempering, lamination, IGU lines).
- Proficient in ERP systems for manufacturing (SAP, Oracle, etc.). - Sound knowledge of lean, TPM, and continuous improvement methodologies. - Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills.
