Plant Head

1. Production Planning & Target Achievement

• Plan daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on sales orders and PI confirmations.( must be maintain on calendar )
• Ensure production targets are consistently met.
• Coordinate with the Inventory Manager to confirm component availability before production starts.
• Maintain a First Come, First Serve” order queue based on confirmed PIs.
• Follow the standard production flow as mentioned in Annexure.
• Inform Inventory Team one day in advance about the next day’s material requirement and planning.

2. Team Leadership & Training

• Lead all assembly staff, supervisors, and helpers with discipline, clarity, and motivation.
• Assign duties for each production zone (frame fitting, wiring, testing, etc.).
• Train staff in all scooter assembly processes and ensure skill rotation (cross-training).
• Create a performance-based, target-driven culture on the production floor.
• Monitor attendance, punctuality, and productivity of all production workers.
• Maintain discipline in factory.

3. Coordination with Other Departments

• Inventory Department(works parallel): For daily issue slips, stock reconciliation, and shortage updates.
• Quality Department(under your supervision) : For stage-wise and final PDI inspections.
• Accounts & Sales Department: To align production with confirmed PIs and dispatch priorities.(always follow first come first serve basis.)
• R&D / Technical Team: For new model assembly methods and product upgrades.(any production issue came they will work along with completing FG, and PDI’s issue )
• Maintenance Department(under HR): For tool or machinery breakdowns and preventive maintenance.

4. Quality Assurance

• Implement stage-wise quality control (QC) – Frame QC, Wiring QC, Battery QC, Final QC.
• Ensure “Zero-Defect” production and immediate rectification of any identified issues.
• PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection) must be completed in your presence before dispatch.
• Maintain detailed PDI checklists signed by both Production and QC heads.
• Record and analyse any recurring defects to eliminate the root cause.

5. Process & Workflow Management

• Maintain and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for every process.
• Implement FIFO system (First-In-First-Out) for material consumption.
• Balance workload evenly across assembly lines to avoid idle time.
• Keep the production area clean, organized, and compliant with the 5S System (Sort, Set, Shine, Standardize, Sustain).
• Ensure every Finished Goods (F.G.) unit has its Chassis No., Motor No., and Controller No. properly recorded.

6. Reporting & Documentation

• Maintain and update the following records daily:
  
• Production output register
• Material consumption register
• Defect & rework register
• Attendance & overtime sheet
• Machine breakdown log
• PDI checklist file
• Submit End-of-Day (EOD) Report to the Factory Head, including output, manpower, pending work, and downtime causes.

7. Safety & Compliance

• Ensure workers use safety gear (gloves, shoes, masks, helmets) as per factory policy.
• Conduct periodic safety drills and maintain fire extinguishers and first-aid kits.
• Report any accident or injury immediately to management.
• Comply with all Factory Act and Labour Law requirements.

8. Continuous Improvement & Cost Control

• Identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions for higher productivity.
• Reduce material wastage, rework, and idle manpower.
• Suggest process automation and workflow optimization where feasible.
• Conduct weekly production review meetings to analyse performance and improvements.

9. People Management

• Maintain discipline and teamwork across all production staff.
• Handle disputes or misconduct promptly in coordination with HR.
• Track attendance and overtime precisely to control cost.
• Recommend training, incentives, or promotions for outstanding performers.
