Planning Specialist

As a strategic planner in this role, you will be responsible for developing pre-season sales, inventory, and margin plans that are in line with the overall business objectives. This will involve collaborating with various cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and effectiveness. Your role will also encompass overseeing assortment and inventory management, where you will be tasked with optimizing product mix planning, managing OTB budgets, and ensuring inventory is optimized to minimize markdowns and stock-outs. In addition, you will lead forecasting efforts by conducting in-season reviews and reforecasting based on sales trends. Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sell-through, GMROI, and inventory turnover will be crucial in guiding decision-making processes. Collaboration with other departments such as Buying, Merchandising, Sales, and Finance will be essential in this role. You will work closely with these teams on product launches, seasonal buys, and promotional plans to drive business growth and success. Furthermore, your responsibilities will include data analysis and reporting. You will be expected to derive actionable insights from sales, margin, and customer behavior analysis. Presenting forecasts and highlighting business risks and opportunities to the leadership team will be a key aspect of your role. To be successful in this position, you should have at least 5 years of relevant experience. Candidates with a Master's Degree or a background from NIFT will be preferred due to the specialized knowledge and skills they bring to the role.,
