Job Description

Key Responsibilities

1. Planning & Scheduling

  • Develop and maintain project master schedules and detailed micro schedules using tools such as Primavera (P6) / MS Project.
  • Define Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), activity lists, and dependencies to ensure clarity in project execution.
  • Prepare baseline schedules and track progress against the baseline.
  • Forecast manpower, material, and equipment requirements in line with project plans.

2. Monitoring & Reporting

  • Monitor project progress, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Generate weekly/monthly progress reports, dashboards, and management presentations.
  • Track critical paths and ensure that delays are addressed through recovery plans.
  • Provide inputs for management reviews and client reporting.

3. Coordination & Communication

  • Liaise with project managers, engineers, procurement, and execution teams to capture accurate progress data.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure planning deliverables meet project requirements.
  • Support tendering teams with planning inputs, resource histograms, and schedules for new bids.

4. Risk & Change Management

  • Perform delay analysis and identify project risks impacting schedules.
  • Recommend risk mitigation strategies and incorporate approved changes into the schedule.
  • Support claims, extension of time (EOT) requests, and contractual documentation.

5. Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead and guide planning engineers, ensuring standardization of processes and reporting formats.
  • Promote continuous improvement in planning practices and tools.
