Planning Engineer

Role & responsibilities

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Project Planning & Coordination

• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets for infrastructure works (roads, bridges, utilities, etc.)
• Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, and vendors to ensure smooth project execution.
• Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in alignment with business objectives.

2. Execution & Monitoring

• Supervise day-to-day project activities and ensure compliance with design, quality, and safety standards.
• Monitor project progress using performance tracking tools and conduct regular site inspections.
• Identify potential risks or delays and implement corrective actions proactively.

3. Resource & Team Management

• Manage project teams, assign tasks, and ensure accountability for deliverables.
• Coordinate resource allocation including manpower, materials, and equipment.
• Conduct project review meetings with internal teams and stakeholders.

4. Financial Control & Reporting

• Track project costs and ensure adherence to approved budgets.
• Prepare progress reports, MIS, and project documentation for management review.
• Manage contracts, change orders, and billing certifications.

5. Quality, Safety & Compliance

• Ensure all works comply with statutory regulations, safety standards, and quality specifications.
• Conduct safety audits and ensure implementation of HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) protocols.
