Piping Draftman

We are looking for a skilled Piping Draftsman / Designer to prepare accurate 2D drawings and 3D models of piping systems for industrial, infrastructure, and process projects. The role involves collaborating with engineers to convert design concepts into detailed layouts and ensuring compliance with industry codes and standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop piping GA (General Arrangement) drawings, isometrics, and support details based on design inputs.
• Create and update 3D piping models using software such as AutoCAD, CADWorx, Plant 3D, or E3D.
• Prepare bill of materials (BOM) for piping, fittings, and supports.
• Ensure drawings comply with project specifications, codes, and safety standards.
• Coordinate with mechanical, civil, and instrumentation teams to resolve clashes.
• Review and incorporate markups from engineers and site teams.
• Maintain revision control and proper documentation of drawings.
• Assist in preparing as-built drawings at project completion.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Diploma / ITI in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience as a Piping Draftsman / Designer (typically 2–5 years).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Plant 3D, or other piping design software.
• Knowledge of piping standards (ASME, ANSI, ISO) and materials.
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, equipment layouts, and engineering drawings.
• Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a team and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications (Optional)

• Experience with 3D modeling software (PDMS, SmartPlant 3D, or E3D).
• Familiarity with stress analysis basics and pipe routing best practices.
• Experience in EPC / infrastructure / oil & gas / power projects.
