Piping Checker / Piping Layout Engineer

Education –

Review & updation of Equipment layout w.r.t applicable codes & standards.

Conceptual checking of pipe routing for the vessels, column, exchangers, tanks, pumps, etc., w.r.t. relevant input documents. Suggestion of pipe routing changes based on design basis & best industry practices. Leading & co-ordination with the team of 3D designers & responsible for the finalization of pipe routing.

Experience required

· Review of basic engineering package & basis for design piping.

· Development of Plot plan, Equipment Layout & Piping Layout.

· Conceptual review of the piping for pump, Vessel, Exchanger, Column, Drum, Tank,

cooling tower, etc. w.r.t relevant inputs

· Preparation of Pipe Rack Study Sketch.

· Preparation of Nozzle Orientation Drawing.

· Checking of Isometric & Piping GA Drawings before release at any revision status.

· Review the Equipment and routing of piping in 3D Modelling Performed by designers.

· Finalize support requirements for all non-critical lines without input from stress.

· Attained Internal & External model review session.

· Preparation of MTO for Piping, Insulation & Painting and Estimating piping procurement cost.

· Review of Vendor documents & drawings.

· Knowledge of applicable Code & Standards for Pressure Piping ASME B31.3, ASTM, GE GAP & OISD etc.

· Planning and scheduling the work to achieve the target.

· Capable of Co-ordinating with other Engineering Disciplines.

· Completion of project within budget, schedule & quality.
