Plus Max Pavendhar College of Arts & Science, managed by A Leading Multinational Organization – Plus Max Group of Companies, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Assistant Professor of English to join our Department of English. Responsibilities

Teaching and Curriculum Development:

• Design, develop, and deliver curriculum in Physical Education, Sports Science, and related areas.
• Conduct physical education classes, training sessions, and health education programs across departments.
• Organize fitness awareness programs, workshops, and seminars to promote physical well-being among students and staff.
• Maintain and update sports syllabi in line with university and accreditation requirements.

Mentoring and Student Support:

• Guide students in developing physical skills, sportsmanship, and healthy lifestyle habits.
• Identify and mentor talented athletes for inter-college and university-level competitions.
• Provide counseling and support for students facing physical or health-related challenges.
• Encourage participation and inclusivity in sports among all students, regardless of skill level.

Research and Scholarship:

• Engage in research related to physical education, sports psychology, kinesiology, and fitness training.
• Publish articles, papers, and case studies in peer-reviewed journals.
• Stay updated with current trends, innovations, and best practices in sports education and fitness.

Collaboration and Professional Development:

• Work collaboratively with faculty members across departments to promote health and wellness.
• Participate in departmental meetings, workshops, and continuous professional development activities.
• Maintain liaison with sports authorities, athletic associations, and professional bodies for institutional collaborations.

College and Community Engagement:

• Organize and manage college sports events, tournaments, and annual sports day.
• Represent the institution in inter-college sports federations and coordinate participation in district/state/national events.
• Promote community fitness programs and contribute to outreach activities promoting physical education and wellness.
• Ensure the maintenance and utilization of sports infrastructure, gymnasium, and equipment.

Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in Physical Education (M.P.Ed.) or equivalent from a recognized university.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a similar role at a recognized educational institution.
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Certifications in sports coaching, fitness training, or first aid are desirable.
