PHP Wordpress Developer

Job Summary: We are looking for a talented and experienced WordPress cum PHP Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing websites and web applications using WordPress and core PHP. You should have a strong understanding of both front-end and back-end development, with hands-on experience in custom theme/plugin development, API integration, and database management. Key Responsibilities: · Design and develop responsive WordPress themes and plugins from scratch or customize existing ones. · Develop, test, and maintain robust, scalable, and secure PHP-based web applications. · Integrate third-party APIs and services (e.g., REST, payment gateways, etc.). · Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize code for performance and scalability. · Collaborate with designers and other developers to deliver high-quality web solutions. · Perform regular website maintenance, updates, backups, and security checks. · Manage WordPress CMS content updates and configuration settings. · Write clean, well-documented, and reusable code. Required Skills and Qualifications: · Proficiency in WordPress architecture, plugin development, and theme customization. · Strong knowledge of PHP and MySQL. · Solid experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery. · Familiarity with website optimization techniques (SEO, caching, etc.). · Knowledge of version control systems like Git. · Experience with WooCommerce or other WordPress-based e-commerce platforms is a plus. · Basic knowledge of web hosting, cPanel, and domain management. · Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications: · Experience with page builders like Elementor, WPBakery, or Gutenberg. · Understanding of MVC frameworks (like Laravel or CodeIgniter) is a plus. · Familiarity with task runners/build tools (e.g., Gulp, Webpack). · Exposure to Agile development methodologies. Educational Qualification: · Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
