Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a PhD Student in NGS and Genomics located at D Y Patil International University, Akurdi, Pune. The PhD Student will be responsible for conducting research in next-generation sequencing (NGS) and genomics, including data analysis, experimental design, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. Daily tasks will include sample preparation, sequencing, analyzing genomic data, and writing and presenting research findings. The role also involves contributing to grant writing and publishing scientific papers.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in NGS and genomic data analysis
• Experience in experimental design and sample preparation for sequencing
• Proficiency in bioinformatics tools and software
• Excellent research and analytical skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams
• Master’s degree in Genomics, Bioinformatics, or a related field
• Knowledge of statistical methods and programming languages such as R or Python is a plus
