PGT Political Science

We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated PGT in Political Science to teach senior secondary students (classes XI–XII). The ideal candidate will foster critical thinking, analytical skills, and a deep understanding of political systems, theories, and contemporary issues. The candidate should be committed to creating an engaging classroom environment that encourages active participation and intellectual curiosity.

Key Responsibilities:

Teach Political Science to senior secondary students in accordance with the school’s curriculum .

Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and assessment tools to enhance student learning.

Conduct classroom lectures, discussions, debates, and interactive sessions to encourage critical thinking.

Assess and evaluate student performance through assignments, tests, projects, and exams.

Mentor and guide students on academic and career-related queries in the field of Political Science.

Stay updated with current affairs, political developments, and scholarly research to integrate relevant content into lessons.

Organize co-curricular activities like model UN, debates, quizzes, and seminars to promote student engagement.

Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum and teaching methods.

Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student progress.

Uphold school policies, maintain discipline, and contribute to the overall development of students.

Qualifications & Experience:

Postgraduate degree in Political Science from a recognized university.

B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification (preferable).

Minimum of 2–3 years teaching experience at the senior secondary level is preferred.

Strong communication and presentation skills.

Proficiency in using digital tools and technology for teaching.

Ability to inspire, motivate, and guide students effectively.

Skills & Competencies:

In-depth knowledge of political theories, comparative politics, international relations, and Indian polity.

Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

Classroom management and organizational abilities.

Ability to mentor and support students individually.
