Pest Control Technician

Job Title: Pest Control Services Operator / TechnicianDepartment: Operations / Service Delivery Reports To: Operations Supervisor / Technical Manager Location: Field-based (Residential, Commercial, and Industrial Sites) Key Responsibilities:🔍 1. Site Inspection & AssessmentVisit client locations to inspect pest infestation levels. Identify pests (cockroaches, termites, rodents, ants, etc.) and their source areas. Evaluate the extent of infestation and recommend suitable treatment. 🧴 2. Treatment & ApplicationCarry out pest control treatment using approved methods: Spraying Gel baiting Dusting Fumigation Rodent baiting and trapping Use appropriate equipment and chemicals (IGBC-certified/eco-friendly as applicable). 🔧 3. Equipment HandlingOperate pest control machines like sprayers, ULV foggers, glue traps, and bait stations. Maintain and clean tools/equipment regularly. 📋 4. Safety & ComplianceFollow safety protocols during chemical handling and application. Wear proper PPE (gloves, masks, safety shoes) as per service guidelines. Ensure compliance with ISO, FSSAI, HACCP, or other applicable client standards. 🗂️ 5. Documentation & ReportingFill in service reports (manual or digital) after every job. Take before-and-after photos when required. Obtain customer signatures or acknowledgment post-service. 📞 6. Customer InteractionBrief customers on do’s and don’ts after treatment. Explain treatment type and re-visit schedule if required. Handle minor service-related queries politely. 🔁 7. Follow-Up & AMC ServiceVisit sites for scheduled AMC (Annual Maintenance Contract) follow-ups. Ensure timely re-service or check-ups as per service plan. Required Skills & Qualifications:Education: Minimum 10th pass (preferably 12th) Certification: NIPHM / IPCA / PMA certified operators preferred Government License (if applicable in region) Experience: 0–3 years in pest control service (training provided for freshers) Skills: Basic knowledge of pests and chemicals Good hygiene and discipline Basic communication in local language Other: Must be physically fit, ready to travel, and work flexible hours Tools & Equipment Knowledge:Manual & electric sprayers Bait stations, glue traps Fogging machine, dusters Gel applicator guns Rodent boxes and UV traps Performance Metrics (KPIs):Number of successful service calls/day Customer satisfaction score Chemical usage control and safety adherence On-time job completion Zero customer complaints or service recalls
