Senior Performance Engineer

Required Experience & Skills

• 6–8 years of experience in performance and load testing for cloud-based applications
• Strong hands-on experience with Apache JMeter
• Experience integrating tests into Azure DevOps Pipelines
• Experience designing performance testing strategies across multiple environments
• Experience defining performance baselines and SLAs, translating technical metrics into business-aligned acceptance criteria
• Hands-on experience with Azure Application Insights and Grafana
• Strong understanding of performance metrics and percentiles (Average, P50, P95, P99)
• Experience testing authenticated systems
• Experience working in Microsoft Azure environments
• Experience planning and managing performance test data to ensure realistic workloads and repeatable results
  

Key Responsibilities

• Design and maintain performance and load test scripts using Apache JMeter
• Execute automated performance tests via Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines
• Define environment-appropriate performance testing strategies for API and microservices architectures, tailoring test scope and load levels across Dev, QA, and Staging, and applying the appropriate test types (baseline, stress, spike, soak)
• Design and manage realistic performance test data to ensure repeatable and reliable test execution
• Analyze system behavior under load using Azure Application Insights and Grafana
• Interpret key performance metrics (Average, P50, P95, P99) and identify bottlenecks across APIs and dependencies
• Communicate performance findings and recommendations to engineering and leadership teams
