Job Description

We're looking for a Mid-Level Performance Test Engineer to join our QA team and help ensure our applications are fast, scalable, and reliable under real-world conditions.

Experience:

2-8 years of experience in performance testing or engineering

Technical Skills:

Design and execute performance, load, stress, and scalability test scenarios

Use tools like JMeter, VSTS, LoadRunner to simulate user activity and measure system behavior

Analyze performance test results to identify bottlenecks and work with engineering teams to drive improvements

Monitor application performance using tools such as Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Grafana, or New Relic

Collaborate with developers, QA, and DevOps to integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines

Define performance benchmarks, KPIs, and success criteria for applications and APIs Provide clear and actionable reporting on performance test outcomes

Strong understanding of web technologies, APIs, and system resource usage (CPU, memory, I/O, etc)

Experience with monitoring and profiling tools in both local and cloud environments

Familiarity with containerized platforms (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Behavioral/Soft Skills:

Risk Assessment: Anticipate potential risks to project quality and timelines, recommending preventive measures early in the lifecycle.

Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly in documenting issues, collaborating with developers, and discussing test results with stakeholders.

Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail, ensuring thorough coverage of all scenarios during both manual and automated testing.

Collaboration: Work closely with developers and stakeholders to understand requirements and contribute towards delivering high-quality software.
