Job Description:

-You will be responsible for maintaining and scaling cloud networking services for complex and high throughput solutions (Azure (primarily) and Google Cloud).

-Bridge and own the union between development, quality, security and operations

-You will improve scalability, service reliability, capacity, and performance.

-You will write automation code for provisioning and operating cloud networking components at massive scale.

-You are not an operator, youre an experienced software engineer focused on cloud networking operations.

-Initiate and contribute to continuous improvement of our software delivery processes and practices in a multi-location, multidisciplinary team to empower and accelerate product development

-Use automation extensively to design, configure, manage, and monitor cloud networking systems in support of our product development teams

-Participate in Disaster recovery planning and execution

-Responsible for maintaining cloud networking services such as Azure VPNs, Google Cloud VPNs, Azure vWan, VNETs and VPCs (including Shared VPCs). This includes solutions running in ( Azure and GCP)

-Develop / Monitor dashboards to detect problems related to cloud networking infrastructure and potential security incidents on daily basis. Help coordinate estimations and capacity planning

-Youll work hand-in-hand with all teams to ship our code to production using Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD).

-Collaborate with development teams and use intuition, experience and understanding to create SLIs, SLOs, and SLAs

-Provide timely assistance and remediation solutions during critical situations and production incidents to help resolve service problems (You will be on call for periods of time)

-Develop monitoring architecture, implementing monitoring, build dashboards, manage escalations and alerts

-Participate in incident management and driving root cause analysis (RCA) and risk management processes

IDEAL TECHNICAL AND PROFESSIONAL SKILLS:

-BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field or 5 years prior relevant experience.

-Experience reading or debugging code (i.e. one or more of the following: Java, C, C++, .NET, Python, Shell, Perl, JavaScript)

-2+ years deploying and supporting high traffic, cloud networking platforms

-2+ years with cloud virtualization and PaaS

-2+ years with Azure/GCP

-2+ years with cloud networking support and administration

-Experience with Azure Cloud Services: Virtual Networks, Virtual Network Gateway, Expressroute, Route Tables, Network Security Group, Front Doors, Traffic Manager, Load Balancers and Application Gateways

-Experience with Google Cloud Services: VPCs, Shared VPCs, Interconnect, Cloud Routers, Cloud VPNs and HTTPS Load Balancers.

-Experience with orchestration, automation, and configuration management tools like Github, Terraform and Ansible (or Puppet, Chef, Terraform, or related technology)

-Excellent analysis, debugging, root-cause identification, and troubleshooting skills

-Experience with Kubernetes, system virtualization, on-prem and/or hybrid cloud computing, cloud Identity and security system, cloud monitoring and logging, and/or local/cloud storage.

-Working knowledge in multiple areas covering Java, scripting, scheduling, Linux, Network, firewalls, load balancers and backup

-Proficient with Linux (Preferably with CentOS/RHEL) from kernel to shell, file systems, client-server protocols, etc.
