Performance Engineer

Role Overview:

The Performance Engineering & Testing Services team enables product teams to deliver high-quality software applications that meet all Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs). The role focuses on providing robust cloud-native, AI-driven performance testing and engineering solutions. You will help identify performance bottlenecks across infrastructure, code, and network layers by conducting load, stress, endurance, capacity, and spike testing to ensure applications meet required SLAs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform end-to-end performance testing of applications using JMeter.
• Develop performance test scripts for web applications built on Angular, React with backend technologies such as Java, Python, and .NET.
• Analyze production logs and model workloads; validate performance using client- and server-side metrics.
• Use APM tools such as Dynatrace, New Relic, AppDynamics to identify bottlenecks and provide optimization recommendations.
• Contribute to performance engineering initiatives, including sizing (HW/SW), network analysis, server optimization, and code performance tuning.
• Integrate performance testing tools within CI/CD pipelines (Tekton, CloudBuild, GitHub Actions).
• Containerize testing tools using Docker/Kubernetes.
• Work with cloud platforms (GCP, Azure, AWS) and interpret application metrics via cloud monitoring dashboards.
• Utilize AI concepts, prompt engineering, and LLM APIs to enhance automation workflows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide detailed performance insights.

Experience Required:

• 5–7+ years of strong experience in performance testing and engineering.
• Hands-on experience in at least one programming language (Java or Python).
• Minimum 4+ years in IT, including 3+ years in development.

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree (Engineering or related field).
