People Operations & Development Lead

As the People Operations & Development Lead at Hammonds Furniture, you will be part of a small, ambitious team working directly with the Head of People, with a dotted line to the Head of Learning & Culture, and in close partnership with the Talent & Experience Lead. You will play a pivotal role in shaping a new vision, building modern people systems, and creating a people-centered organization designed for the future. Your ideas, leadership, and willingness to innovate will directly influence how the company operates in the coming years. **Role Overview:** - Lead the evolution of the people operations function and drive development initiatives. - Enhance core people processes and introduce tech-enabled ways of working. - Partner with managers to build capability, confidence, and consistency. - Support and mentor the People Partner and People & Culture Coordinator. - Redesign key elements of the people experience, including performance, progression, and development frameworks. **Key Responsibilities:** - Strong background in data analysis. - Preferably background in HR, reward, learning, or people analytics. - Ability to analyze data and produce detailed reports. - Experience in coordinating or reporting on learning and development activities. - Skilled in HR systems and process improvement. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Strong influencing and relationship-building skills. - Highly organized and detail-focused. - Passion for culture and inspiring others to do the same.
