Job Description

Develop and teach courses in Sociology, including SOCI 206: The Family in Cross-Cultural Perspective.
Provide guidance and mentorship to students, promoting their academic success.
Participate in curriculum development and revision, ensuring alignment with contemporary practices.
Engage in research activities, contributing to the field of Sociology.
Collaborate with colleagues to foster an inclusive and diverse learning environment.
Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback.

Job Requirements

Master's degree and Bachelor's degree in Sociology or a related discipline.
Minimum of 5 years of post-secondary teaching experience, preferably in a university setting.
Demonstrated commitment to evidence-based teaching and the ability to inspire learners.
Knowledge and enthusiasm for contemporary practices promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and facilitation skills.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
