Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Payroll Processing

Collect, verify, and process employee attendance, leave, and working hours.
Calculate salaries, bonuses, overtime, and deductions (like taxes, provident fund, or insurance).
Ensure accurate and timely monthly payroll disbursement.

2. Data Management

Maintain employee payroll records and ensure data accuracy in HR/payroll systems.
Update changes such as new hires, resignations, promotions, and salary revisions.
Safeguard confidential payroll data.

3. Statutory Compliance

Ensure compliance with all statutory laws, such as:

PF (Provident Fund)
ESI (Employee State Insurance)
TDS (Tax Deducted at Source)
Professional Tax
and
Labour Welfare Fund

Prepare and submit monthly or quarterly statutory returns.
Stay updated on labor and tax law amendments.

4. Coordination with HR and Finance

Work closely with the HR team to ensure payroll aligns with employee records.
Coordinate with the finance department for salary transfers and reconciliations.
Handle accounting entries and payroll-related reports.

5. Employee Queries and Support

Respond to employee inquiries about salary slips, deductions, and tax calculations.
Provide clarification on compensation policies and statutory deductions.
