Payments Associate/Senior Associate

Role Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Associate to manage end-to-end payments processing across global banking channels. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in wire payments, ACH/FED transfers, SWIFT, FX payments, fund expense processing, bank detail verification, and payment compliance reviews. This role requires meticulous accuracy, strong ownership, and familiarity with global payment platforms. The person will work closely with internal teams, clients, and banking partners to ensure smooth, accurate, and timely payments.

Key Responsibilities

1. Payments Processing & Execution

• Process wire payments (FED, SWIFT), ACH, and FX payments across global banking networks.
• Execute fund expenses, management fees, incentive fees, subscription/redemption payments, and other investor-related transactions under dual control.
• Prepare and review admin fee wires, broker payment wires, and internal transfers.
• Use Bill.com and QuickBooks Payments for vendor payments, approvals, and reconciliations.
• Process payments via PayPal, Stripe, and other global processors when required.

2. Bank Details & Compliance

• Verify recipient bank information, routing numbers, SWIFT codes, and wire instructions prior to execution.
• Maintain and update bank account details, investor wire instructions, and broker wire instructions within internal systems.
• Work on compliance dashboards, wire instruction re-verification, and process audit support.
• Manage cash mapping, debit/credit mapping, and reconciliation of all incoming/outgoing transactions.

3. Reporting & Controls

• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly payment reports.
• Handle dual-control workflows ensuring complete accuracy before payment release.
• Support risk management reviews, exception handling, and process improvements.

4. Cross-Functional Coordination

• Liaise with clients, investors, internal teams, and banking partners for queries and payment resolutions.
• Support IT teams with process enhancements and automation ideas.

Required Skills & Experience

• 2-6 years of hands-on experience in Wire payments (FED, SWIFT), ACH transactions, FX payments, Fund administration / RTA services / Treasury operations
• Experience with Bill.com, QuickBooks Payments, PayPal, Stripe, and other global payment gateways (preferred)
• Strong capability to verify and validate bank details with high accuracy.
• Experience working with payment instruction teams, treasury, investor wire services, or similar.
• Strong Excel and reporting abilities.
• Ability to work under strict deadlines with zero-error output.
• Good communication skills for cross-team and client interactions.
