Partner - Financial Sponsors

As a Partner - Financial Sponsor in the Wholesale Banking division, your role involves strategically managing relationships with venture capital (VC) firms, private equity (PE) firms, and other financial sponsors. Your key responsibilities include: - Identifying, acquiring, and managing relationships with Financial Sponsors, focusing on larger entities. - Establishing banking relationships at both the institutional/fund management level and with key decision-makers within the sponsor ecosystem. - Providing bespoke banking solutions for fund operations, treasury, and lending to engage fruitfully with the Financial Sponsors. - Strategically mapping and engaging with portfolio companies of financial sponsor clients. - Facilitating introductions of portfolio companies with Partner - New Economy Group team for onboarding and servicing. - Partnering with internal sales and product teams to design tailored solutions across asset, liability, and transaction banking offerings for portfolio companies. - Collaborating with Wholesale and Retail Banking stakeholders to ensure a comprehensive go-to-market strategy. - Working with product, operations, and onboarding teams to deliver a smooth and efficient customer journey. - Engaging with marketing and ecosystem teams to build visibility through joint engagements, ecosystem partnerships, and thought leadership. - Developing specific programs suited to Financial Sponsors and GS+ start-ups in collaboration with the NEG Program Head. - Tracking key trends in the sponsor landscape, including investment themes, sectoral focus, and fundraising activities. - Maintaining and updating internal sponsor portfolios for proactive coverage of sponsor entities and their investee companies. - Contributing to ideation around new product development, sector playbooks, and sponsor engagement strategies. Qualifications Required: - MBA/CA/CFA or equivalent from a reputed institution. Experience: - 5-10 years of relevant experience.,
