Part-Time Accountant

Role: Part-Time Accountant (Compliance & Bookkeeping)

Location: In-office, Mumbai

Work Day: Once a week

Engagement: Part-time | In-office only

Compensation: ₹5,000 per month (fixed)

Entity Type: Sole Proprietorship

About the Role

We are looking for a practical, hands-on accountant to manage back-end accounting and compliance work for a sole proprietorship.

This is a Saturday-only, in-office role and is ideal for:

• Independent accountants
• Freelancers
• Junior accountants from CA firms
• Semi-qualified professionals
• Someone managing multiple small clients

This role is not remote, not full-time, and not negotiable on pay.

Key Responsibilities

1. Bookkeeping & Records

• Maintain books on Tally (we will provide Tally + computer)
• Record sales invoices (5–10/month)
• Record expenses (50–100/month) including cash expenses
• Maintain bill filing (physical + digital)

2. Compliance & Filings

• GST compliance (returns, reconciliations, filings)
• ITR preparation & filing
• TDS compliance (if applicable)
• Maintain compliance calendar and ensure deadlines are met

3. Cash Flow & Reporting

• Prepare basic cash flow statements
• Expense summaries
• Monthly snapshot of inflows, outflows, and balances

4. Coordination & Execution

• Send invoices / documents to clients when required
• Coordinate on compliance-related follow-ups
• Handle both business + limited personal accounting of the proprietor

Who This Role Is For

• Mumbai-based candidates only
• Comfortable coming every Saturday to office
• Has hands-on GST / ITR / bookkeeping experience
• Comfortable working independently with minimal hand-holding
• Looking for a steady, small monthly engagement

This Role Is NOT For You If

• You are not comfortable with ₹5,000/month fixed pay
• You only do “review” work and not execution
