Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Production & Planning

Plan daily packing operations and allocate manpower/resources.
Coordinate with production, QA, maintenance, and warehouse teams.

2. Packing Line Operations

Oversee filling, capping, sealing, labeling, and packing activities.
Ensure correct machine settings, calibration, and quick changeovers.

3. Quality & Food Safety

Ensure compliance with FSSAI, GMP, HACCP, and hygiene standards.
Monitor weight checks, leak tests, batch coding, and packaging integrity.

4. Packaging Material Control

Manage stock of pouches, bottles, caps, cartons, labels, etc.
Reduce material wastage and ensure proper handling/storage.

5. Efficiency & Cost Control

Improve line efficiency and reduce oil wastage and downtime.
Monitor productivity and resource utilization.

6. Maintenance Coordination

Coordinate with maintenance for preventive and breakdown maintenance.
Ensure all equipment is clean, safe, and functioning properly.

7. Safety & Compliance

Enforce safe practices, PPE usage, and 5S housekeeping.
Ensure proper waste disposal and accident prevention.

8. Documentation & Reporting

Maintain daily packing reports, wastage records, and machine logs.
Ensure documentation for audits and SOP compliance.

9. Team Management

Lead and train supervisors, operators, and helpers.
Maintain discipline, hygiene, and performance standards.
