Product Manager Furniture-Quality

Role & Responsibilities

1. Product Quality Evaluation

   • Review and approve product samples, prototypes, and first pieces prior to production release. • Conduct routine quality checks for key SKUs and ensure compliance with company standards. • Identify quality deviations during production and support immediate corrective actions.

2. Cross-Functional Coordination

   •

   Coordinate closely with design, production, purchase, and sales teams for product clarifications. • Work with logistics/warehouse teams to resolve product damage or packaging issues. • Liaise with suppliers and factory teams regarding product readiness and sample updates.

3. Vendor & Production Follow-Up

   • Follow up with vendors on sample corrections, production improvements, and QC requirements. • Ensure compliance with timelines for sample submissions and production readiness.

4. Customer Feedback & Issue Resolution

   • Monitor customer complaints and recurring quality issues. • Ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented and tracked.

5. Documentation & Reporting

   • Prepare and maintain product documents such as checklists, specifications, and sample notes. • Track product changes, maintain sample records, and update quality documentation. • Provide periodic quality reports and highlight key observations to management.

6. New Product Development Support

   • Assist in new product launches by ensuring sample approval and product consistency. • Coordinate with design and production teams for product improvements and trial runs.

7. Process Improvement

   • Identify areas for quality enhancement in products and production processes. • Recommend improvements to ensure product durability, consistency, and customer satisfaction

Qualifications & Skills

Education

• Any graduate; preference for candidates with a background in furniture, interiors, or production-related fields.

Experience

• 7-12 years of experience in product coordination, quality checking, or production support. • Experience in handling

  furniture products (wooden, metal, modular, upholstered) preferred.

Knowledge & Skills

• Good understanding of product inspection and basic quality procedures.
  • Ability to identify visible quality issues and escalate appropriately. • Knowledge of sample evaluation, product documentation, and QC processes. • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). • Strong communication, coordination, time management, and problem-solving skills. • Attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively.
