Packaging Technologist

As a Packaging Development & Innovation professional at Licious, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging solutions for frozen, chilled, and shelf-stable products. Your responsibilities will involve partnering with R&D, marketing, and supply chain teams to align packaging innovation with brand, product, and consumer needs. You will lead packaging trials, line validation, and scale-up activities with suppliers and co-manufacturers. Key Responsibilities: - Design and develop packaging solutions for various product categories - Collaborate with internal teams to ensure packaging meets brand and consumer requirements - Lead packaging trials, line validation, and scale-up processes - Evaluate and optimize packaging materials and technologies - Stay updated on sustainable packaging trends and collaborate with suppliers for new materials - Ensure packaging supports frozen chain, chilled logistics, and D2C deliveries - Conduct performance tests on barrier properties, sealing strength, and transport simulation - Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and environmental norms - Work cross-functionally with product development, culinary, marketing, and operations teams Qualifications Required: - B.Tech/M.Tech in Packaging Technology, Polymer Science, Food Technology, or related fields - 3-5 years of experience in packaging development/technology in food & beverage industry - Strong knowledge of packaging materials, barrier properties, and printing technologies - Experience with various packaging formats such as chilled, retort, frozen, vacuum, MAP, and insulated packaging - Familiarity with sustainability trends and regulatory frameworks for food-contact materials - Analytical mindset for pack testing, failure analysis, and vendor audits - Excellent project management, communication, and collaboration skills Join Licious and be a part of India's most successful D2C food-tech brand, delighting millions of customers with fresh meat and seafood across the country.,
