Packaging Development Executive

Role & responsibilities

Preparation & Checking of artworks of various products.

Approval of block proofs and Shade cards.

Initiation of item code and Pharmacode request for packaging material.

Initiation of artwork initiation form for artwork preparation.

Preparation of shipper labels as per request received from production department.

Producing samples to try out different materials and designs.

Running trials of packaging material to check for suitability/feasibility on machines at current facility.

Preparation and checking of Machine trial reports.

Resolving technical issues through root cause analysis and providing technical support related to packaging material.

Change part development for Blistering machine and checking suitability of existing change part for various products.

Providing weight and volume details of products to calculate freight cost.

To implement the new changes in artworks with respect to packaging guidelines.

Initiation of change controls, deviation, incidents, SOPs etc.

Preparation and checking of Master packaging record (MPR).

Review of BPR received from tech transfer department.

Analysis of Innovator/Market packaging material samples & preparation of reports.

Finalization of packaging specifications and Packing configuration.

Identification of primary, secondary and tertiary packaging material vendors and arranging samples for trials and fitment check etc.

Co-ordination with Customers, QA, QC, production, Purchase, Marketing and Vendors for day to day activities.

Preferred candidate profile

Must have worked in packaging development for atleast 3 years

Must be proficient in handling adobe illustrator

Must be aware of documentation process related to artwork handling
