Oracle Middleware WebLogic Administration & DevOps

Role & responsibilities

• Manage installation, configuration, patching, and upgrades of Oracle Middleware components including WebLogic, OSB, SOA, as well as Tomcat and Apache servers.
• Perform fine-tuning, performance optimization, and troubleshooting of application servers and middleware platforms to ensure high availability and reliability.
• Deploy enterprise applications across WebLogic, OSB, SOA, Tomcat, and Apache, ensuring proper configuration and rollback strategies.
• Implement and manage SSL certificates and ensure secure communication between web and application tiers.
• Configure and maintain connectivity between application servers and external systems, such as databases, APIs, and web servers.
• Monitor system health, analyze logs, and perform daily checks to maintain system performance and availability.
• Maintain detailed and updated documentation for application configurations, operational procedures, and change controls.
• Collaborate with development, QA, and infrastructure teams to coordinate deployments, patching, and release cycles.
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and problem resolution for production issues by working with cross-functional teams.
• Follow IT compliance and governance standards in all activities.
• Proficiency in Oracle WebLogic Server, OSB (Oracle Service Bus), SOA Suite
• Working knowledge of Tomcat and Apache HTTP Server
• Strong in shell scripting for automation and task orchestration
• Experience with DevOps tools like UrbanCode Deploy, Bamboo, GitLab CI, Jenkins
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, OCI, or others)
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated deployment, and rollback strategies
