Job Description

Role & responsibilities

The Oracle EBS SCM Implementation Consultant is a senior professional responsible for leading the complete lifecycle of Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) Supply Chain Management (SCM) implementations. This position requires in-depth expertise in SCM business processes and Oracle EBS functionality, from initial discovery through design, configuration, data migration, testing, and post-go-live support. The ideal candidate brings a strong record of successful, full-cycle SCM deployments and comprehensive command of key EBS SCM modules.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Leadership & Business Process Mapping

Lead workshops with stakeholders to analyse current processes and define future-state requirements.

Map and gap-fit business processes against Oracle EBS SCM capabilities to ensure the best alignment.

Serve as the trusted advisor and subject matter expert, recommending best-practice SCM solutions throughout projects.

2. Solution Design & System Configuration

Architect end-to-end SCM solutions, ensuring robust integration with other EBS modules (e.g., Financials) and external systems.

Produce thorough functional design (MD50) and configuration (BR100) documents for all SCM modules.

Perform module setups, configuration, and parameterization according to the agreed design and documented requirements.

3. Data Migration & Integration

Work closely with technical teams to define data migration strategies for mastering and transferring items, suppliers, customers, and transactional data.

Design interface and integration specifications for connections with legacy environments and third-party solutions.

4. Testing & Go-Live Support

Develop and execute detailed test plans for unit, SIT, and UAT phases.

Coordinate and manage the UAT process, driving defect resolution and securing user approvals.

Lead go-live tasks, including cutover, user training, documentation, and hypercare support to ensure smooth transitions.

5. Documentation & Knowledge Transfer

Maintain all project and process documentation, including project plans, business requirements, and configuration guides.

Conduct structured training and knowledge transfer sessions for super users and internal IT support resources.

6. Module Specialization

Demonstrated, hands-on experience in implementing the following Oracle EBS SCM modules:

  • Oracle Purchasing
  • Oracle iProcurement
  • Oracle iSupplier
  • Oracle Inventory
  • Oracle Landed Cost Management
  • Oracle Contract Management
  • Oracle Order Management
  • Oracle Advanced Pricing

Preferred candidate profile

Minimum 8 years as an Oracle EBS R12 Functional Consultant with extensive experience implementing the above SCM modules.

Technical Skills:

Deep understanding of Oracle EBS R12 architecture and data models for SCM.

Experience with Oracle AIM/OUM methodology for project delivery.

Strong knowledge of SCM business process flows (Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash).
