Job Description

Oracle Database administration, sharding, partitioning, migration, and performance tuning

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and manage enterprise Oracle DB architectures.
Handle sharding, partitioning, large datasets, schema design, and data modeling.
Lead DB migrations (on-prem cloud), upgrades, RAC migrations using Data Pump, GoldenGate, RMAN, etc.
Perform advanced SQL tuning and analyze AWR/ASH/ADDM reports.
Implement and maintain
RAC, Data Guard/Active Data Guard
, backups, DR plans.
Ensure security, access control, encryption, and compliance.
Automate tasks (Shell/Python/Ansible) and support CI/CD & monitoring (OEM, Prometheus).
Collaborate with engineering teams and mentor junior DBAs.

Required Skills

12+ years in Oracle DB Engineering/Admin.
Expertise in Oracle
11g/12c/19c
, RAC, Data Guard, RMAN, ASM, GoldenGate.
Strong SQL, PL/SQL, performance tuning, Linux/Unix & scripting.

Preferred

Cloud DBs (OCI/AWS/Azure), microservices, Kubernetes/OCP, NoSQL (MongoDB/Cassandra).

Soft Skills

Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership.
Ability to handle mission-critical production systems.
