Job Description

Job Summary:

Oracle Database Administrator (DBA)

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and maintain Oracle databases across development, testing, and production environments.
Perform
RMAN backup and restore
operations and ensure data integrity and availability.
Configure and administer
ASM (Automatic Storage Management)
and
RAC (Real Application Clusters)
environments.
Implement and monitor
Data Guard
for disaster recovery and high availability.
Conduct
database performance tuning, optimization, and capacity planning
.
Manage
user access, roles, and privileges
in compliance with security standards.
Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams for database design and issue resolution.
Develop and maintain
automation scripts
using Shell or Python to streamline DBA tasks.
Provide 24x7 production support as part of a rotational shift schedule.

Technical Skills Required:

Strong knowledge of
Oracle Database Administration (11g/12c/19c)
.
Expertise in
RMAN
,
ASM
,
RAC
,
Data Guard
, and
Performance Tuning
.
Good understanding of
Linux/Unix OS fundamentals
.
Scripting skills in
Shell
or
Python
for task automation.

Optional / Good to Have:

Experience with
Oracle Exadata Administration
.
Knowledge of
Oracle GoldenGate
for data replication.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification preferred.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
