Optometrist

• Comprehensive Eye Exams:Perform detailed eye examinations to assess visual acuity, coordination, field of vision, and overall eye health.
• Diagnosis:Diagnose and manage vision problems, injuries, diseases, and disorders of the eye and visual system, including conditions like glaucoma, cataracts, and diabetes-related eye issues.
• Treatment:Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other visual aids; provide vision therapy and low-vision rehabilitation; and prescribe therapeutic drugs for specific eye conditions.
• Referrals:Identify potential eye diseases and refer patients to ophthalmologists or other specialists for further treatment or surgical procedures when needed.
• Patient Education:Advise patients on proper eye care, contact lens maintenance, visual hygiene, and safety measures to promote long-term vision health.
• Pre- and Post-Operative Care:Provide care for patients undergoing eye surgeries, such as laser vision correction and cataract surgery.
• Record Keeping:Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, documenting diagnoses, treatments, and recommended follow-up care.
