Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to assess and diagnose visual problems
• Prescribe and fit glasses, contact lenses, or other visual aids
• Provide advice on visual hygiene, including the correct use and care of glasses and contact lenses
• Educate patients on the importance of regular eye check-ups and maintenance of eye health
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality of patient information
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and referrals
• Stay updated with advancements in the field of optometry and participate in continuous education and training
  

Qualifications And Experience

• Degree in Optometry from an accredited institution
• Valid optometry license in the relevant jurisdiction
• 0-10 years of experience in optometry
• Strong knowledge of eye anatomy, visual systems, and common eye conditions
• Proficient in conducting comprehensive eye examinations and diagnosing visual problems
• Familiarity with a wide range of lens types and ability to accurately prescribe and fit glasses and contact lenses
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals
• Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize patient care tasks
