Home eye testing Experience

1. Home Visit & Customer Handling

• Conduct scheduled home eye tests for customers (senior citizens, bedridden patients, busy professionals, etc.).
• Arrive on time with complete testing kit and maintain professional grooming.
• Greet customers politely and explain the test procedure clearly.

2. Vision Testing & Refraction

• Perform preliminary eye examination including:
• Case history
• Visual acuity measurement
• Objective and subjective refraction
• Binocular vision assessment
• Near vision evaluation
• Identify signs that require referral (cataract, glaucoma suspicion, severe dryness, etc.).
• Maintain accuracy as per clinical standards.

3. Frame & Lens Recommendation

• Recommend suitable frames based on face shape, lifestyle, and budget.
• Suggest lens types Single Vision, Bifocal, Progressive, Blue Cut, Photochromic, etc.
• Explain lens benefits in simple language.
• Capture frame measurements using PD ruler or digital tools.

4. Equipment Handling

• Ensure all home eye testing equipment is functional, sanitized, and calibrated:
• Auto-refractor / trial set
• Trial frame
• Lensometer (portable)
• Torch, PD ruler
• Maintain checklists before and after every visit.

5. Order Booking & Sales Closure

• Provide digital/printed quotation.
• Assist customers in selecting frames and lenses from the home visit kit.
• Book orders using mobile POS/CRM system.
• Collect payments through authorized modes only.

6. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain accurate records of:
• Prescription details
• Customer case history
• Product selection
• Orders booked and follow-ups
• Share end-of-day reports with store / cluster manager.

7. Customer Experience & Service Quality

• Minimize errors by following SOPs and double-checking prescriptions.
• Communicates delays, queries, or concerns proactively.
• Ensure 100% customer satisfaction as per the stores quality standards.

8. Safety & Hygiene Protocols

• Follow sanitization guidelines for equipment and trial frames.
• Maintain personal hygiene and wear ID card.
• Practice safe handling of elderly or bedridden customers.

Preferred candidate profile

• Daily travel to customer homes
• Carrying portable eye testing kit
• Flexibility in working hours (based on appointments)
• Mobile POS / CRM usage
• Occasional support for in-store activities
