Job Description

Perform comprehensive pediatric eye examinations, including visual acuity testing, refraction, and binocular vision assessment,Diagnose and manage pediatric eye conditions such as refractive errors, amblyopia, strabismus, and binocular vision anomalies,Conduct cycloplegic refraction and assist in pre-operative and post-operative evaluations,Prescribe and dispense corrective lenses and advise on contact lenses where appropriate,Provide vision therapy support and counseling to children and parents,Assist pediatric ophthalmologists during clinics and procedures as required,Maintain accurate patient records in hospital management systems,Educate parents and caregivers on eye health, treatment plans, and follow-up care,Adhere to hospital protocols, infection control, and quality standards, The Pediatric Optometrist is responsible for providing comprehensive eye care services to infants, children, and adolescents
The role involves assessment, diagnosis, and management of pediatric visual disorders while working closely with pediatric ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care
