Role Overview

SAP PP-QM Consultant

• Configure and support Master Data: Material Master, BOMs, Work Centers, Routings, and Production Versions.
• Set up MRP (Material Requirements Planning), Demand Management, and Capacity Planning.
• Manage shop floor execution including order creation, release, confirmation, and settlement.
• Integrate PP with MM, SD, and WM for smooth end-to-end operations.
• Support batch management and serial number management processes.

Quality Management (QM)

• Configure Quality Planning: Inspection Plans, MICs, Sampling Procedures, and Catalogs.
• Set up Quality Inspection Types for procurement, production, and sales processes.
• Implement and manage Quality Notifications and Quality Certificates.
• Support in-process, incoming, and final inspection processes.
• Integrate QM with PP, MM, WM, and PM modules.

General

• Perform functional configuration, testing, and documentation of PP-QM processes.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and propose solutions.
• Conduct Unit Testing, Integration Testing, and User Acceptance Testing.
• Provide post-go-live support and resolve production issues.
• Train end-users and prepare SOPs.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Engineering, IT, or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of SAP PP and QM experience, including at least 1–2 end-to-end implementations.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing and quality control business processes.
• Knowledge of S/4HANA PP-QM functionalities (preferred).
• Experience with SAP integration to MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Good to Have

• Exposure to SAP Fiori Apps for PP and QM.
• Knowledge of Industry 4.0 and digital manufacturing solutions.
• Basic ABAP debugging skills for issue analysis.
