Role Overview:

Head of Operations

Key Responsibilities:

• Factory Setup & Greenfield Projects:

• Lead the planning and execution of new plant setups, capacity expansion, and layout optimization.
  
• Drive end-to-end project implementation including budgeting, vendor management, and commissioning.
  

• Production Management:

• Manage and supervise day-to-day production operations to ensure consistent, timely, and cost-effective output.
  
• Develop and monitor production schedules to meet delivery timelines and customer requirements.
  
• Ensure efficient utilization of manpower, machinery, and materials.
  

• Engineering & Process Improvement:

• Collaborate with the engineering team to implement process improvements, automation, and lean manufacturing practices.
  
• Optimize production lines for quality, efficiency, and minimal downtime.
  
• Oversee maintenance planning and ensure machinery reliability.
  

• Quality, Safety & Compliance:

• Ensure strict adherence to quality standards, safety norms, and regulatory compliance.
  
• Implement best practices for EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) management.
  
• Coordinate with QA teams to drive zero-defect manufacturing culture.
  

• People & Cross-Functional Leadership:

• Lead, mentor, and develop the production and engineering teams.
  
• Coordinate closely with supply chain, quality, and maintenance teams for smooth plant operations.
  
• Drive a performance-based culture with continuous improvement initiatives.
  

• Budgeting & Cost Control:

• Prepare and manage operational budgets.
  
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
  

Key Requirements:

• Education:

  B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering. A Masters degree in Operations or Business Management is a plus.

• Experience:

  17-22 years of experience in manufacturing operations, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.

• Domain Expertise:

• Proven experience in

  mass manufacturing

  and

  factory operations

  .
• Hands-on experience in

  production engineering

  and

  plant setup

  (preferably greenfield projects).
• Strong understanding of lean manufacturing, TPM, and continuous improvement methodologies.
