Operations And Sales Executive

Role & responsibilities

The Sales cum Operations Executive (GT & MT) will be responsible for managing sales channels and ensuring smooth operations. The role is divided into two core functions:

Sales (GT & MT):

1. Manage and expand the General Trade (GT) distribution network including distributors, retailers, and wholesalers.
2. Handle Modern Trade (MT) accounts such as key chains, supermarkets, and e-commerce B2B partners.
3. Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets across both GT and MT channels.
4. Negotiate trade terms, schemes, and promotional activities with channel partners.
5. Ensure product visibility, placement, and execution of trade promotions.
6. Conduct regular market visits to track competitor activities, pricing, and customer feedback.

Operations:

1. Coordinate with production and warehouse teams for stock planning and order fulfillment.
2. Monitor inventory levels across GT & MT channels and ensure product availability.
3. Process purchase orders and track timely dispatch and delivery.
4. Prepare accurate sales reports and conduct data analysis for management review.
5. Support demand forecasting and assist in efficient resource allocation.

Preferred candidate profile

1. Education: Graduate in Business/Commerce; MBA in Sales, Marketing, or Operations preferred.
2. Experience: 25 years of experience in FMCG/Consumer Goods/Toy industry with exposure to both General Trade (GT) and Modern Trade (MT).
3. Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of distribution networks, retail channels, and key account handling.
4. Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel/ERP systems for reporting, demand forecasting, and sales analysis.
5. Soft Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management abilities.
6. Mindset: Target-driven, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
7. Mobility: Willingness to travel for market visits, distributor meetings, and trade execution.
8. Prior experience in working at a toy manufacturing facility, ex: Funskool etc
